PurposeOS FAQ’s
How and why do I choose a Hub?
When you log into PurposeOS for the first time, you’ll be asked to select a Hub. A Hub is a local or regional community within the Wayfinders network that helps you stay connected with others near you and access opportunities specific to that area.
Choosing a Hub matters because:
Local Connection: It allows you to join with others pursuing disciple-making, leadership development, and community impact where you live.
Hub-Specific Opportunities: Some courses, groups, and events are specific to certain Hubs, meaning you’ll only see them if you’re connected to that Hub.
Global Impact: Even while part of a local Hub, you can still engage with resources, tools, and conversations happening across the entire PurposeOS community worldwide.
If you’re not sure which Hub to choose, select the Brownsburg Hub, as it is the main Wayfinders Hub globally. You can always change your Hub later if you discover a more local or specialized Hub that fits your context.
How do I access my courses or Trainings?
The first time you log into PurposeOS, you won’t be automatically enrolled in any courses or training. To get started:
Go to the Navigation Bar: At the top of the PurposeOS portal, select the “Trainings” option (the Library Book icon) in the navigation bar.
Browse Available Courses: You’ll see a list of all courses and trainings offered by your Hub and globally.
Enroll in Your Course: Find the course or training you’re participating in and click Enroll.
Begin Your Journey: Once enrolled, your course will appear in your dashboard, and you can start exploring the lessons and resources right away.
This process helps ensure you have access to the right training and can discover other courses available to you on PurposeOS.
How Do I View or RSVP to an Event?
On the PurposeOS navigation bar, you’ll see an icon that looks like a calendar, labeled “Events.”
Click the Events Icon: This will take you to a list of upcoming events available through your Hub and in your area.
Browse Available Events: Scroll through the list to see what gatherings, trainings, or special opportunities are coming up near you.
RSVP to an Event: When you find something that interests you, simply click the event and follow the prompts to RSVP.
Take a look—you might discover an event that helps you grow, connect, or make an impact alongside others in your community.
How Do I Join a Group?
Click the Groups Icon: This will take you to a list of available groups within your Hub and across the PurposeOS community.
Browse Groups: Look through the different groups to find one that matches your interests, schedule, or area of focus.
Join a Group: Select the group you’d like to be part of and follow the prompts to join or request access.
Groups are a great way to build relationships, grow alongside others, and join in on meaningful conversations and activities as you pursue disciple-making, leadership development, and community impact.
How Do I Change My Hub After I’ve Signed Up?
If you’ve already created your PurposeOS account and want to switch to a different Hub, you can easily make that change in your profile settings.
Go to Your Profile: Click on your profile icon in the top navigation bar.
Edit Your Profile: Select the option to edit profile details.
Change Your Hub: From the Hub selection menu, choose your new Hub.
Save Changes: Once saved, your account will now be connected to your selected Hub, giving you access to its specific courses, groups, and events.
You can change your Hub at any time to stay connected to the community that best fits where you live, work, play, and serve.
